This week's community joys and concerns from April 2, 2023

Joys

Among the joys in our community and beyond,

  • Chuck Blaisdell, husband of our former Sr. Pastor, recently received good news regarding his ongoing treatment for small intestine cancer. You can read the full update by clicking here.

Concerns

We continue praying for:

  • Pat McDaniel

  • Kim King

  • Rachel Morford

  • Families grieving - the Housmans and the Petersons

  • Lift up Tom Moore and his family on the death of his sister this week, Margie Moore Parker

Among our local and global community concerns:

  • The Community of Nashville as they weep in the midst of yet more gun violence taken out on children and educators in what is supposed to a safe environment for learning and growing. The identity of the shooter as being trans has nothing to do with the fact that he had legal and ample access to the assault rifle he used to commit the murder of 3 children and 3 adults. In the midst of this tragedy, one of the many sins of omission for us would be to allow those propping up this narrative that those who identify as trans are inherently violent, predatory, or bad to go spewed into the world and for those of us who claim a faith in Jesus to not say a word about it. We are called to repent.
