This week's community joys & concerns from April 20, 2025

Among our joys:

• Thank you to all those who have helped make today's Easter celebration and this Lenten season so special. Among those groups, I want to give a shoutout to DWM (Disciples Women Ministries), the Congregational Life team, to our extremely talented staff, Cassie Tripp, Don Tripp, Asher Rubke, Nate Dybevick, and special musician Phil Harty on trumpet, special vocalists, Joseph Adamecz, Jan Simpson, Jan Riley, and the whole choir, for sharing your gifts with us.

• Please join us immediately following this worship service in the gym for a potluck and a very well-stocked egg hunt! All are welcome!

• We add to our prayer concerns a friend of Corrine Bahrke's, Loretta Baker, who has recently been diagnosed with a resurgence of lung cancer.

• We pray for all who dwell in worry or fear, for those who society has rejected, blamed, or pushed aside

• For the village on 6th and Orchard and for those who find themselves without shelter.

• Finally, join us in lifting up our Global Ministries partners, this week, in the Middle East. I'd like to read for you an entry by Rev. Nishan Bakalian, Global Ministries Mission Co-Worker with partners in Beirut, Lebanon.
