Among our local and global community:

  • We add to our prayers those throughout California and Oregon in the midst of this wildfire season, particularly at present in Northern California. We pray for the human communities and all the natural communities and and wildlife in harm's way, for those affected not just by fire threat itself but by air pollution and the environmental impact of the fires. We pray for first responders and for those who are doing the hard work of containing them.

  • In the midst of ongoing military action amid conflict between Palestine and Israel, we offered our renewed prayers for peace and hope to overcome militarism, sectarianism and nationalism. We pray for all in harm's way and for those whose dignity and safety have been compromised due to propaganda and political scheming.

  • We pray for peace throughout the world and for an end to violence in all its forms, including those perpetuated in the guise of national interest. We pray for Palestine and Gaza, for those entwined in war in Israel, Sudan, and Yemen, for Ukraine, for those in conflict fighting for justice in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Somalia, and in many more places around the world.

  • We pray for the village on 6th and Orchard for those who find themselves without shelter.

  • We pray for our Global Ministry partners this week in Italy.
