Among our Joys:
The Tacoma Joint Youth Group gathered last Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Tacoma, praying for peace as they folded paper cranes and continued building relationships with one another. There will be one more gathering on June 12th, before they break for the summer, and it is never too late for a middle or high school youth to join.
Our Relay for Life Team, The Orchard, is gearing up for this year’s walk to beat cancer! It will be on Saturday, June 8, from 10AM to 10PM. Please contact Tom Moore or Bill McDaniel for details about joining the walk or donating. You can donate online by going Relay for Life Tacoma and give in the name of The Orchard or you can give your donation directly to Tom or Bill.
Among our concerns:
We hold in our prayers the friends and family of Marion Lufer, a friend of Martha Redford who passed away May 18.
We hold also the friends and family of Kathie Call’s son Michael Call, who died last week in Missoula, MT.
We also hold in our prayers Bud and Marcia Tripp, parents of Don Tripp, who both tested positive for Covid this week and are recovering at home.
We Continue to Pray for:
Laura Cohthril
Mel Peabody’s mother
Pat McDaniel
Karen Murray's friend Nancy
Misty Hans-Zwosta
Danny Jablonski, and his spouse, Gordon
Marc Master
Alex Tapia
Corrine Bahrke's friend, Loralie
Martha Redford's friends, Margo and Teresa
Our homebound friends, including Harry and Margaret Lobberegt, Helen Bosley, Marylu and Joseph Mills and Jane Nelson
Among our local and global community,
We pray for peace, for those under occupation, for those who fall victim to tyrannical rule, for all building peace in a world obsessed with war. We pray for Palestine, Ukraine, Israel, Haiti, Myanmar, and anywhere God’s peace is trampled in the human quest for might.
We lift up the village on 6th and Orchard.
We lift up our Global Ministries partners in Japan.
If you'd like to share a prayer joy or concern, please contact Pastor Doug at doug@fcctacoma.org or by calling the church office. Please indicate whether your prayer is to be shared publicly, or if you'd like it to be kept private.
